REV. ABA MPESHA, FCCA, FCPA, FCPS, CTH, MSc, MBA, PhD, US-based BUDEFO’s Director of Finance and Economic Empowerment, offers more than 40 years of steward-leadership experience at international and regional levels in the USA, Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa having provided direction to fast growing organizations, liaising with local and national authorities, UN, NGOs and donor agencies as well as turning around troubled organizations. More specifically, he is a founding partner of an accounting firm with offices in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda; he is the founder and CEO of a multi-million dollar for profit mission-based business whose objective is to make a sustainable difference in the lives of the poorest of poor farmers in Tanzania by processing their own raw cashew for export; and he and his wife founded Tamigamiga Christian Centre whose mission is to point people to Jesus through recreational, retreat, conference and seminar facilities. The centre is based in Kawe beach, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.
Aba holds a degree in strategic management from the USA, an MSc in Economic Development from UK, and a B.Com from Nairobi University, Kenya. He is also a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (UK), a Certified Public Secretary, and Certified Public Accountant. He has been a business professor for 20 years with emphasis in business development and entrepreneurship, international business, strategic management, finance and management of NGOs and churches. He has consulted for several large, medium and small organizations in many parts of the world, and has also written and published widely including a book on NGO management.
