METHOD A KASHONDA, BUDEFO’s Treasurer, is a Chartered Accountant and a well respected member of the Accountancy profession in Tanzania and internationally. He is a Fellow member (FCCA) of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA) of the UK; is registered with the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) as a Fellow Certified Public Accountant and holds a CPA(T) Public Practice Certificate, which allows him to audit private and public sector enterprises and issue audit opinions on their financial statements; is a registered as tax consultant; and also holds an MBA degree in Finance and Banking from Mzumbe University, Tanzania
Prior to getting into public accounting and financial management consultancy practices, Method worked for over twenty years as Chief Financial Executive Officer of Williamson Diamond Mining Company in Mwadui, Tanzania and the Tanzania Zambia Railway Authority (TAZARA). He is currently the Managing Partner of Globe Accountancy Services, a firm of public accountants and financial management and tax consultancy practitioners.
Method has been an active member of the accountancy profession in Tanzania and beyond. He is a founder Council member and treasurer of the Tanzania Association of Accountants, has continued to serve on the Association’s Council and is currently the Chairman of its Publications and Editorial Committee. Method has been a member of the Governing Board and vice chairman of the Technical Services committee of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors and has, for two consecutive three year terms, served as a member of the International Assembly of ACCA, representing the association’s members in Tanzania and other countries in Eastern, Central and Southern Africa. He is currently a Board member and Chairman of the Audit Committes of Mkombozi Commercial Bank and AAR Insurance Tanzania. Method has co-authored a book on Liquidation Law and Practice in Tanzania Mainland with Edmund B Mndolwa and Cyriacus Binamungu.
Besides his professional preoccupations Method actively participates in community service activities through his membership to Rotary International. He previously served as Treasurer, Secretary and President of the Rotary Club of Dar es Salaam – Mzizima.
