Methold Bakuza

METHOLD B BAKUZA is the Deputy Director of the City of Bukoba Liaison and a local government Councillor for Mayondwe Ward, Muleba District in Kagera. Before joining politics, he was, and still is, a self employed entrepreneur mainly based in Dar Es Salaam.

Methold graduated from the University of Dar Es Salaam with B.Com Marketing (Hons) 1990, and also holds an MBA (Finance) from the University of Dar es Salaam in 2010. He attended a Customs Collectors course in 1992 and several other managerial, business and entrepreneurial workshops while working with the Customs and Excise Department as a tax collector between 1991 and 1996.

He is a member of several professional and social associations, notably Tanzania Freight Forwarders Association (Councillor); Tanzania Professionals Network (Secretary General); Wekeza Group (Founder Member); and Big Investment Group (Member).

Given his political clout at the grassroots, his professional background and wide experience, Methold is an asset to BUDEFO and will be particularly be useful in cultivating and developing a strong network for the Foundation in Kagera.
