Yusto P. Muchuruza

YUSTO PARADIUS MUCHURUZA, the Director of the City of Bukoba Liaison, is a social scientist in social development and organizational management. He attended various courses in the social development arena and qualified as MA-Sociology (AU-USA). He also holds a diploma in Organizational Finance and Project Management, (Institute of Cultural Affairs (ICA) Brussels, Belgium; and Advanced Diploma in Land Management and Informal Settlement Regularization (Erasmus University- IHS, Rotterdam, The Netherlands).

Other credentials include Advanced Diploma in Leadership Development; (St. Francis Xavier University, COADY International Institute), Nova Scotia, Canada; Diploma in Managing Community Based projects (Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda) and many other formal and short courses and training including certificates in Facilitation Skills, Participatory Planning in Development, (PPD) (ICA, Brussels, Belgium); certificate in NGO management (Organized by ESAURP) Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; Certificate in International Human Rights Training Programme” (IHRTP) (Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue University, in Montreal, Canada); Certificate in Technology of Participation (ToP) (ICA, Brussels, Belgium) and Financial Management for donor funded projects.

Yusto is now a proficient social worker, a facilitator and an experienced development practitioner. He participated and/or conducted various researches and evaluation workouts, and has written many books and presented papers at local and international forums, conferences and workshops.

Yusto is currently the Executive Director of the renowned Tanzanian NGO, Kagera Development and Credit Revolving Fund (KADETFU – visit ). He is also Chair/and or member of many local and international Programmes/Project Steering Committees (PSCs) and Management Boards.

Yusto’s day to day activities are based within Bukoba municipality and he vowed to put his rich knowledge and wide experience in community development to the benefit of BUDEFO.
